A little planning goes a long way toward a smooth daycare day or boarding stay. Here’s everything you need to know before you book your dog’s spot at LifeTime Pet.
First visit? An interview comes first
Before your dog’s very first daycare day or overnight stay, they’ll complete a quick interview. Your pup spends about 10–15 minutes meeting a group of dogs with different energy levels while you fill out some paperwork up front. It’s how we make sure everyone’s a good fit — and once they pass, they’re welcome back anytime.
Drop-off & pick-up
- Monday–Saturday: 9:00am–6:00pm
- Sunday: 11:00am–5:00pm
- Boarding checkout is 1:00pm. Picking up after 1:00pm adds a half-day of daycare ($18).
What to bring
- A collar with a buckle release
- Their favorite toy
- Comfortable bedding (unless your dog likes to chew fabric — best to leave it home)
- Enough of their own food for the whole stay, for a happy tummy (we can provide food for a small fee if needed)
You can leave the bowls and measuring cups at home unless your dog uses a specialty bowl like a raised or slow feeder.
Feeding & medications
It’s generally best not to feed your dog right before drop-off. If your dog is arriving after 5:00pm, go ahead and feed dinner beforehand, since our boarding pups have already eaten. If your dog takes medication, just let us know at check-in.
Booking & holidays
We recommend booking at least 24 hours ahead, and earlier around the holidays — spots fill up fast. Please note we’re closed, with no boarding drop-off or pickup, on New Year’s Day, Easter, July 4th, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day, and we close at 3:00pm on Christmas Eve.
