Vaccination Requirements for Daycare & Boarding

At LifeTime Pet, every pup who joins us for daycare or a boarding stay is playing, napping, and making friends alongside other dogs. Keeping vaccinations current is how we keep that whole group happy, healthy, and safe — yours included.

Vaccinations we require

Before your dog’s first day of daycare or boarding, we’ll need proof that they’re up to date on:

  • Rabies
  • Distemper (DHPP)
  • Bordetella (kennel cough) — administered within the last 6 months

Puppies are welcome, too

Bringing a younger pup? Your dog can join us once they’re at least 4 months old, or once they’ve completed their first three rounds of puppy distemper. Dogs over 7 months old will also need to be spayed or neutered.

A few other health basics

To keep our play groups comfortable for everyone, dogs should also be:

  • Current on all vaccinations
  • Free of fleas and ticks
  • In overall good health
  • Comfortable around other dogs and people

Final approval is always made by our daycare attendants during your dog’s interview — it’s our way of making sure LifeTime Pet is the right fit for your pup.

How to send us your records

The easiest way is to email your dog’s shot records straight from your vet to vet@lifetimepet.net before your visit. You’re also welcome to bring a printed copy to your interview.

Have questions about what your dog needs? Give us a call at (913) 764-4626 — we’re happy to help you get everything squared away before their first day of fun.
